Purity of Nature Ageless Beauty Best in Hill Stations - Gulmarg

Gulmarg is a heaven on earth. It is purity of nature ageless beauty.  It’s a town of Indian state Jammu and Kashmir. It’s a paradise for trill and winter sports seekers. Gulmarg a town of Baramula district is situated in the cup shaped valley Pir Panjal Range of the Western Himalays. It’s a popular hill station, skiing destination and lot more activities to do. Gulmarg is approx 53 kilometers far from Srinagar.

Gulmarg’s natural grass fields covered with snow in winters are favorable for the growth of attractive wild flowers. These flower clad grass fields are long spread through small lakes and enclosed parks.  Forests of green pine and fir are also a centre of attraction for tourists.  It’s known as a winter sports destination.

Apharwat Peak is the best location for all these adventurous winter sports. Apharwat Peak is situated at the height of 13999 feet. Its slopes are very beautiful and people used play here the sports like skiing. Apharwat Peak also allows the extensive view of Nanga Prabat and Harmukh Mountains.

Gurmarg’s Climate is humid continental because of its very high elevation. People used see heavy snowfall here in winters. Summers here are like plain Vanilla. Length of summers is relatively short and Temperature is also low here.

How to Reach: - Almost all the possible mediums are available to reach there. You can go through by air, bus, taxi, self drive and through railway as well. Nearest airport is Srinagar which is 56 kilometers away from Gulmarg, Taxies are available from here. Self drive or taxies are also an option to reach here roads is good. Train is also an option but nearest railway station Jammu is 290 kilometers away from here. Bus is also a good option because Gulmarg is a connected with all the nearby towns and cities like Srinagar and Sonmarg.
