1. Sri Lanka gains
the freedom after a long time of colonization. They were colonized by different
countries until 1948.
2. First
Portuguese arrived in Sri Lanka in 1505 and established their colonization.
3. Then Dutch
followed them and colonized Sri Lanka in 1658.
4. And in last
British arrived and colonized in 1776.
5. Finally in
1948 they received the independence from British. After Second World War and Indian
independence.
6. Unfortunately
their freedom was not so well because after 35 years Sri Lanka fell down into a
brutal civil war in 1983 with Sri Lankan Tamils. That continues till 3 decades.
7. Lots of
civilians and cops has been died, international politics was involved in that.
India also tried their best send their peace forces to stabilize the situation.
8. Finally in 2009
the civil war with LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam) militants lasts
after 3 decades.

9. But that war
costs them a lot. Sri Lankan Tamils Militants Organization fought with their elected
government and they almost lost their future for many years.
11. However the Sir Lankans are brave people and they quickly comes
out from all that and progressed rapidly. They have forgotten everything about
it, moving forward in right direction.

a speech after attacks in Sri Lanka based on communal harmony and unity in all

days ago he has been elected as MCC president first time a non British. Apart
from being a legend cricketer he is a good human being and a great speaker.
