1. The Antarctica:- It is the windiest, coldest and driest place on this planet.

2. Coldest Place on this planet:- Antarctica is the windiest and coldest place on this planet. The yearly or annual average temperature here is - 58°F to - 58°C. And the lowest ever recorded temperature is - 128°F to - 88°C. The temperature of Antarctic Ocean’s water is between 1°C and -1.5°C.

3. Antarctica was most later discovered continent:- Nobody knows Antarctica until it spotted first in 1820. It was totally unknown to people. The first explorer reached at it in 1911.

4. It’s a desert only huge desert:- Most surprisingly it’s a very huge part of the land on earth but completely a desert.  Its most of part is covered with full of ice but some part is not. That’s why we know that it is a huge desert. Because some part of Antarctica have not had the snowfall or rain in last more than 2 million years.

5. You can’t imagine the amount of ice available here:-  Approx 90% of the entire world ice and fresh water is available here. Some ice layers are thicker more than 4 kilometers. And most of them are exist from more than 40 million years.

6. What can be happen if Antarctica melted:-  It has already started due to global warming. You can hear and see the consequences in Pacific Ocean countries water level is raising day by day and these countries like Kiribati and Tuvalu are sinking. Anyways if the whole ice of Antarctica was melted then water level of ocean can raise upto 65 meters or 213 feet. Do something to stop the global warming and save the world.

7. No Local Resident Only Animals:- There is no one at this planet who is a local of Antarctica in other words Antarctica never had local or indigenous population. But this is a heaven of wildlife or animals like penguin, birds and leopard seals. The penguins are very attractive, beautiful and cute animals. Anybody can watch them for hours and never get bored.

9. No Time Zone at Antarctica:- it’s a only place on earth which has no time zone so whenever you are going there to visit no need to worry about time because In summers there is lots of light everywhere outside for 24 hours a day. And in winters it’s totally opposite.
